At last, one of my favourite drivers won a GP. It happened today – 30 May – in Turkey, under dry conditions, thought the radar kept promising us rain. A few drops appeared on the cameras, but nothing serious happened.

Yesterday Info Expert celebrated its 6th birthday, which to us meant going to a special event. Prior to the day, we discussed where to go for weeks; initial plan was to go to the woods and have a picnic there, but the weather forecast was disturbing. Just before our birthday the unusually hot weather left us, and for the 26th we had chilly and windy forecast. Even rain was mentioned; fortunately it never showed itself until we came back home.

Monaco GP is always special. This time it was a bit more special than usual with the safety car deployed four times during the race. Several collisions and crashes added greatly to the excitement – and even though all three of my favourites disappointed me again (read the rules more thoroughly next time, Michael!), I still enjoyed every moment of the race.

The fifth GP of the season marked the return of Formula 1 to Europe, and, as usual, this means a more civil – and somewhat less exciting – race. Not a trace of rain – and dry races will never come close to rivalling rainy ones. But I still enjoy them all.

We all know when the news programmes on TV and the articles on news websites become the most interesting and grab our attention: it’s when something terrible, if not catastrophic, is happening. We also know when they become dull and uninteresting: it’s when nothing extremely bad is happening, and relative stability sets in.
